Summary: Fabricate parts from reading blue prints in order to assure proper measures.
Ability to read blue prints
Operate various fabricating machinery (press brake, shear iron worker, and saws, etc)
Operate general hand tools such as drills, grinders and plasma torch.
Must be able to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Good problem solving skills, individually or in a group.
Education: High School Diploma or GED, 6-12 month job experience and/or training.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, percentages and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent; to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Knowledge of measuring devices such as measuring tape, calipers and square are a must.
Physical Demands: Employee will be required to stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
Work Environment: Employee will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts. Must be 18 (years old) to apply.
